This was inspired by the work of the American cartoonist Jim Benton in his book 'Dealing with the idiots in your life'.

This is a four panel cartoon. Panel 1: Fiddling while Rome burns... Emporer Nero is playing a fiddle with a crazy look on his face. In the background are burning buildings and people running around. Panel 2: Drumming while Pompeii erupts... A man in Roman costume is playing a drum. In the background Mount Vesuvius is erupting and people are running around. Panel 3: Playing the accordion while the local Spar closes down... A man plays an accordion with eyes closed and a smile on his face. In the background is a Spar store with a closed sign in the door. Panel 4: Sounding the astrophone while the sun goes supernova. An astronaut is floating in space and striking a large megalith with a hammer. In the background the sun is exploding. The cartoon is signed unokay.com 2020.
