Tough economic times in Westonia.

Panel 1: A run down street corner. A man is leaning against a shop window. A woman is walking along the pavement with head down. On the side of the shop is a large poster with the face of a man. It reads: Weston S Mare For Mayor. The shop is actually a public library. A sign in the window says: Loans on easy terms. Panel 2: A man with his back to us is standing on a street corner. He is wearing a sandwich board. The board says: Former MFI carpenter - willing to do anything for work. The bottom edge of the sandwich board has broken off and is hanging down. Panel 3: Exterior of a cafe with the name: Le mange tout bistro. The door is open. A line of snails is going into the door. A line of snails missing their shells are coming out. A sign in the window says: Top prices paid for escargot shells. Panel 4: A man is striding along the pavement looking at his phone. He hasn't seen a banana skin on the pavement in front of him. He is passing a shop with the title: The Body Shop Funeral Directors. In the window, two employees are looking with anticipation.
